We are very excited to announce that we will be running a 2-day training course in Brighton. Designed for practitioners, performers and teachers, this course will cover a range of puppetry manipulation techniques whether you are a complete beginner or simply looking to improve your skills.
The course will focus on puppetry technique using our handmade rod puppets. We will be covering areas such as focus, independence, active stillness and breath. We will also cover devising and making work with puppets.
The training will be run by Sophie Powell and Annie Brooks. We are both experienced puppeteers and performers. Sophie teaches frequently at Rose Bruford Drama College and has over 20 years experience of teaching and devising work. Annie has over 10 years experience as a puppeteer and has taught puppetry and puppet-making at University Creative Arts and Solent University.
The cost is £120 and will include tea, coffee and refreshments.

The balance of £70 will be payable two weeks before the start of the course.
Places are limited to 15 and we need a minimum of 10 people to run the course.
Workshop participants will be given a 5% discount on any PuppetBox puppets they order within 12 months of the course.
