We will be running a 1 - day training course in Brighton on 2nd April 2020. Designed for practitioners, performers and teachers, this course will cover a range of puppetry manipulation techniques whether you are a complete beginner or simply looking to improve your skills.
The course will focus on puppetry technique using our handmade rod puppets. We will be covering areas such as focus, independence, active stillness and breath. We will also cover devising and making work with puppets.
The training will be run by Sophie Powell and Annie Brooks. We are both experienced puppeteers and performers. Sophie teaches frequently at Rose Bruford Drama College and has over 20 years experience of teaching and devising work. Annie has over 10 years experience as a puppeteer and has taught puppetry and puppet-making at University Creative Arts and Solent University.
The cost is £55 (£45 if paid by 1st Feb) and will include tea, coffee and refreshments.
